50th Anniversary Edition.
Following the breakup of The Zombies in 1968, lead singer Colin Blunstone briefly left the music business, but he was drawn back in after the unexpected success of "Time Of The Season" from the group's swansong Odessey And Oracle. With former bandmates Rod Argent and Chris White in tow, Blunstone went into the studio and began reworking songs that The Zombies had been tinkering with towards the end.
The result was 1971's One Year, a baroque pop masterpiece about a year in Blunstone's life and his split with then-girlfriend, actress Caroline Munro. This definitive 2LP reissue features stellar unreleased material including sparse demos and a set of previously unheard songs that were ultimately scrapped from the original album. This is post-psychedelic brilliance, and you'll never need to own another pressing.
