Roscoe, the name of the album title, is the name of their dog, depicted on the jacket, who always accompanies them on their tours. The song "I Love My Dog," which opens the album, sings about their love for the dog over a mellow country-rock tune that sounds like the Byrds when Gram Parsons was in the band. The beautiful harmonies of the Everly Brothers are combined with a strong laid-back sound to create an ultra-pure 70's roots-rock follower. Recommended for a wide range of American rock lovers.
