This 50s vintage dress is a fun mixture of practical - plaid, shirtwaist bodice - and feminine - very full skirt and 8 rows of tiny ruffles running down the bodice front. The bodice is fitted with darts and styled with cap sleeves and a banded collar.

FABRIC/COLORS: An interesting novelty weave plaid, using mostly white with black plus a small amount of yellow. See close-up for a look at the weave, with a pattern of open weave in half of the white squares. Feels like cotton and is machine washable.
