Porsche 919 Hybrid. 2015.

Porsche's 17th win in the great race was the first in a hat-trick, winning for the next 2 years to establish a record haul of 19 victories overall. The 919 Hybrid had also been entered in the 2014 edition, but lost out to Audi, who scored their 13th overall win in that race. Returning for 2015 with 3 cars, this time the results went Porsche's way.

The no. 18 car driven by Romain Dumas, Neel Jani and Marc Lieb had scored a blistering pole with a new lap record, but it was the no. 19 car of Nico Hulkenberg, Earl Bamber and Nick Tandy which triumphed, crossing the line at 16.00 on the Sunday - a lap ahead of no. 17 sister car of Timo Bernhard, Mark Webber and Brendon Hartley. This marked a 1st, 2nd and 5th place for the Porsche team.
