Sourced from one of the finest vineyards in the central strip of Coonawarra, this wine is grown on the region’s iconic terra rossa soils and managed under dry-grown conditions. The low-yielding vines deliver fruit of precision and depth, while the 2022 vintage provided a long, even ripening period, ensuring purity of flavour, structural balance, and refined tannin development.

The nose is composed and finely detailed, revealing layers of blackcurrant, dark cherry, and plum, interwoven with cedar, graphite, tobacco leaf, and subtle spice. The influence of 24 months maturation in 100% New French oak is seamlessly integrated, adding complexity, restraint, and aromatic finesse.

On the palate, the wine is full-bodied yet controlled, defined by structure, tension, and length. Fine, persistent tannins frame a core of concentrated dark fruit, supported by fresh acidity and mineral undertones. The oak influence is precise and understated, contributing texture and depth while allowing the vineyard character to remain at the forefront. The finish is long, savoury, and elegantly sustained.
