Customers usually buy the large ones for the parents and the small ones for the kids, but you can mix and match however you please. The base adds a bit of security but it will not hold an overstuff these stocking holders.

Like most holders they only hold a pound or two, but if you’d like to add a bit more security try adding a command adhesive to the bottom.
