Porcelain, hand-thrown incense burner with an orange and green "Malibu" sunset crystalline glaze. 

These burners take cone incense (cones included!) and allow oxygen to flow from the bottom continuously, keeping the incense lit until it runs out! To clean the inside of the burner from incense stain, simply run it under water and scrub gently with a toothbrush!

Every piece is thrown and trimmed on the wheel using Coleman porcelain. This burner was fired in an oxidation atmosphere in an electric kiln.  Crystal glazes are fired to cone 10 (2350° F) until they turn molten and begin to run down the surface of the pot.  The temperature is then cooled, stopping the glaze from running, and causing crystals to grow.
