Georgia Prophets
Description:
Debut album from 1971 by the Georgia Prophets, still active in the beach music scene in North Carolina, North America. Unlike the image on the cover photo, they are actually a group, formed in Augusta, Georgia in the southern U.S. After their debut single in 1966, they released several Northern Soul singles in the 1960s. The recording members of this album are Tommy Witcher, Bruce Dees, Warren Cowers, Andy Jordan, Tony Pittman, and Billy and Barbara Scott, the two male and female singers. The album consists of rare singles from the late 60's, [2] (1968), [8] (1970), [10] (1970), [12] (1969), and covers of popular rock tunes of the time (Neil Young, James Gang, Dave Mason, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, etc.), and is a collection of Northern Soul type singles. The nonstop song list is nonstop, with an emphasis on the groove, with a focus on singles.
