Description:
*First CD release in the world* Bursting into the burning equator! A spectacular portrayal of the energy of a people. Two major concertos representative of contemporary French music, recorded by the virtuoso Philippe Entremont with the composer's own support, are finally released on CD for the first time in the world. The "Equatorial Concerto" (1951), inspired by folk music, is a spectacular work that caused a sensation since the "Rite of Spring" when it was premiered in Paris. The contrast with Milhaud's Piano Concerto No. 1 is also interesting. The orchestra is backed up by the prestigious Paris Conservatory Orchestra, which is on the verge of dissolution and retains an elegant French sound in the wind instruments. The fill-up is the chamber music version of "The Creation of the World" with Jari and other French virtuosos.
