This kit updates the cam chain tensioner of your Twin Cam 88 engine to the design used on Twin Cam 96 engines. The billet cam support plate has been designed to allow the installation of the Twin Cam 96 hydraulic cam chain tensioner to Twin Cam 88 equipped models. It significantly outlasts the spring loaded tensioners, and are a great addition to an engine with performance upgrades. 1999-2001 models with the stock cam position sensor function do not use the front roller chain and sprocket as supplied in the kit, but you can use them when you upgrade to a performance ignition that does not use the cam position sensor. The single row front roller chain and sprocket are used in all 2002-2006 Softail and Touring, as well as in 2002-2005 Dyna. Kit comes complete with cam chain tensioners and a High-Flow oil pump that provides increased oil pressure at high-operating temperatures. Compared to your stock pump, oil supply is increased by 23% and scavenging by 50%, and reduces operating temperature of bearings to improve bearing life.
