Bomber 49er 600, #04 Red Head/White Color. Lure is about 4 1/8" long including lip. The lure is used with some minor wear and two broken barbs, but in overall good condition, see photos. Overall, a decent combo for its age. One of the greatest bass lures ever made.
Called a 49er as it was a plastic design tried in 1949 and shortly discontinued.
The Bomber is designed as a deep-diving, fast-wiggling lure which can be used equally successfully by the novice or expert fisherman. Even though all but the 200 series are floating lures, Bombers will run much deeper than most sinking type baits. The board diving bill not only drives the Bomber to depths but also acts as a guard to prevent excessive hang-ups on brush. This feature allows the lure to be fished at great depths with a minimum of lost lures and makes it an ideal trolling lure. It is also ideal as a casting or spinning lure. -Excerpt from the 1975 Bomber Catalog
