The Affinity Classics XL T bar has been in continuous production since 2013, tens of thousands have been made. Our handlebars last longer, perform better, and look good while doing it. Every detail of the Classic XL T bar serves a purpose.

As your mom assures your dad “Size doesn’t matter”, we are here to tell you, it does! Our crossbar, the part you grip, is thicker than our competition - .083” vs .065”. This makes our bars more resistant to frowning, and you too. The downtube for standard(1.25” diameter) is an industry leading .065”. Our Oversized(1.375” diameter) is .058”. You may ask, “Why is Oversized thinner than Standard?”. This is because Oversized is a larger diameter which translates to more surface area than standard. So we can get away with less thickness and oversized is STILL more rigid than Standard. We suggest buying Oversized and using that in your compatible SCS. 

Material selection is just as crucial as the thicknesses and diameters. This is why we use 4130 Chromoly Steel. This alloy of steel used in airplane fuselages, NHRA Roll Cages, BMX Frames, and anywhere high strength to weight ratios are paramount.
