Description:
Ronnie Barron, who played in Paul Butterfield's Better Days and other projects, has released his memorable debut album on CD in paper jacket! (Original release: 1971 / Decca Records)Following in the footsteps of Dr. John, a musical colleague from his New Orleans days, Ronnie joined the ranks of L.A. studio musicians as a keyboard player, later collaborating with Paul Butterfield's Better Days, and later with Haruomi Hosono & Makoto Kubota. This is the first solo album by the late Ronnie Barron, who is well known to Japanese fans for his collaborations with Haruomi Hosono & Makoto Kubota, as well as his interactions with the Woodstock group. With his unique vocals with a Southern Soul taste, Barron reimagined his roots in New Orleans music in the style of LA swamp/pop, and created a masterpiece that can be called Barron's version of "Gris Gris".
