Why?

Unfortunately, despite advances in production methods, there is still no sustainable way to harvest traditional silk. The only way to get usable thread is to kill the silkworm that produced it. This is because if you wait until the worms are out of the cocoon, the thread is no longer suitable for production. That's why we choose more sustainable options.

Satin is considered vegan. Most vegans will not sleep on silk because it comes from animals.

Satin and silk are both skin and hair cosmetics, but there are some qualities we prefer satin to silk.

Satin has low water absorption and thus helps maintain the moisture balance of the hair and skin. The satin finish also does not absorb any applied night cream.

Satin is cool to the touch, while silk warms up with body temperature.

The satin finish is easy to clean and durable.

Satin is usually less expensive than silk.
