This one piece stretched gas tank will give your Softail the long, slippery stretched look associated with the top Custom bike builders. The stretched section is not a weld-on piece but an integral part of the tank. The exclusive Zodiac stretched tanks are the only one piece steel tank available. Its design will give your bike smooth, flowing lines and a very classy look. Stretched Softail tanks are available with dual and single screw type gas cap, dual or single, "Quick-Lock" lockable gas cap as well as a tank with a single cap aircraft style Aero gas gap and with the latest style Pop-Up gas cap in a paintable or chrome finish. Due to the sleek design a narrow seat (like our Silhouette seats) must be used, it can't be used with the stock seat. Fits Softail models 1984 thru 1999. Tanks hold approx. 4.2 gallon fuel (15,9L.).

GAS TANKS The zinc-chromate primer finish on some of our tanks is provided for the protection of the tanks during shipment and storage. It is not recommended as a primer finish for paint applications without proper surface preparation. As with any fuel tank, particularly one where custom paint is to be applied, all tanks must be pressure tested, then cleaned with tank cleaner and sealed with tank sealer before painting, to protect the final finish and prevent internal rust during winter storage. Fuel capacity is measured with tank in upright position, angle of parked bike will determine actual capacity of the fuel tank.
