This 1920s cloche hat is fairly sinple in design, and simply marvelous when it is worn as intended - pulled deeply down onto the head. The oval brim is pleated and folded in front in a way that is really flattering to the face.

MATERIALS/COLORS: The hat is black, made from finely woven straw - may be synthetic. The hat band is two layers of 5/8" ribbon - the outer is grosgrain, and behind is satin. Grosgrain ribbon is also used as facing for the brim.The hat is lined in black fabric. 

TAGS: Model by Beresford, Paris New York.

CONDITION: Amazingly good for its age. The only flaw I found is a tiny hole about halfway down the crown in back - see closeup.
