This framed 6x8 handpainted watercolor landscape study is one of Berkeley Springs West Virginia in late winter on a misty chilly morning. I love the last hangers on of the red oak leaves and the effect of fog ready to burn off on a chilly morning in the woods. (No artists were harmed in the making of this painting…I was cozy indoors painting what I saw outside).

The quiet old woods of Appalachia have a timeless beauty and appeal, and somehow studying that quiet scene in the early morning put me instantly at peace for the day. This one is 6 x 8 (a little larger than the miniatures ) and would look great on a table top surface or use the loop on the back to use in a space needing a smaller piece of artwork.
