The Australian film "Morning of the Earth," directed by Albie Falzon, is a classic surf film that was released in 1972 in Japan and the U.S. and was a big hit (released in Japan in 1976). This is the first solo album by G. Wayne Thomas, who produced the film, released in 1972, encouraged by the success of the soundtrack album. The album contains three previously released singles: "Take It Easy" (Warner Bros., 1971), the A-side of the debut single; "Open Up Your Heart" (Warner Bros., 1972), the second and biggest hit single; and the third single, "Everything In" (Warner Bros., 1973), which was cut from the album. The third single, "Everything In You/Call My Name" (W&G/73), was cut from the album. The atmosphere of the pop, sweet and sour melody that makes the most of the organic sound of acoustic guitars, layered with gentle strings and extended, clear electric guitars, and perfectly matched with Thomas' moderately bittersweet vocals, is one of the best samples of pop music of the 70s after the death of the Beatles. The atmosphere of this album is the best sample of 70's pop music after the Beatles' death.In that sense, fans of niche pop like Pilot and Bad Finger, or 70s pop singer/songwriter/vocal duos like Elton John and Viglas & Osbourne ("Autumn is Alone"), will definitely like this sound.
