The world's oldest classical label, Deutsche Grammophon, which boasts a history of over 120 years, and Decca (including the former Philips), which will celebrate its 90th anniversary in 2019 and is home to conductor Seiji Ozawa, pianist Mitsuko Uchida, and other greats. The campaign will release 20 titles in each genre every two weeks, for a total of 100 titles. The Tchaikovsky Concerto, performed by Richter, "one of the greatest pianists of the 20th century," and Karajan, "the king of the world of music," is a masterpiece that is highly acclaimed as a definitive recording. Richter's powerful solo performance with a large scale touch is firmly supported by Karajan, who is at the peak of his powers. Rachmaninoff's Preludes, which the master loved to play from time to time, are also well worth listening to.
