The Dome of the Sea was a distinctive seafood restaurant that opened on June 12, 1965, within the Dunes Hotel in Las Vegas. Designed by architect Milton M. Schwartz, the restaurant featured a unique circular structure with an underwater theme. Its interior showcased images of fish and seaweed projected onto the walls, creating an immersive dining experience. A notable feature was a harpist, dressed as a mermaid, who performed from a seashell-shaped seat that moved along a figure-eight track in the water at the center of the room. The Dome of the Sea remained a popular dining destination until the Dunes Hotel's closure in 1993, after which the property was demolished to make way for new developments. This design is part of our vintage retro collection, celebrating the defunct golden era Las Vegas venues of yesteryear. Printed on our warm & cozy unisex hoodie (hooded sweatshirt). We print & ship all of our high quality graphic hoodies in the USA.
