About The Artist
James Heslip studied Fine Art at Kingston School of Art and is the co-founder of Cygnets Art School and Sailors Jail Gallery with his wife Tabby. They live near Penzance in the pink house at the top of the hill, with their two children Rudy and Ziggy.
Hessy uses traditional woodblock carvings to create his incredible, intricate prints. As a keen fisherman and naturalist from an early age, his passion lies in animals, and it’s this which forms the core of his work.
