Ancre Hill Estates is located in the Welsh county of Monmouthshire. The 12 hectares of vineyards are perfectly positioned on south facing slopes close to the border town of Monmouth and the Wye Valley. The Estates' ethos is to deliver wines of the highest quality, utilising traditional Biodynamic and Organic Viticultural practices to produce the best possible fruits from carefully sourced and selected Varieties with excellent heritage.

FARMING: The use of sulphur is kept to a minimum with the addition of wild plant Tisanes made on the Estate. No insecticides, pesticides nor herbicides are used, with weeds ploughed out from under the vines. Extensive canopy management is practiced with the Geneva Double Curtain trellising system designed for cooler climates. Demeter certified.
WINEMAKING: The wine was fermented in oak barrels, concrete egg and stainless steel with an elevage of over 12 months for the base wine, then ageing of 2-3 years on lees. Zero dosage.
TASTING NOTES: A light, energetic Blanc de Noirs. Incredible class and elegance. Lots of apples and citrus with a nutty and biscuit character from the time on lees.
